Alyssa Voglewede, MA, LPC
Partner with The Clarity Group and Owner of Rising Oaks Counseling
Alyssa feels it is an honor and privilege to be able to walk alongside men, women, children, couples, marriages, and families to help see relationships and families restored, connections deepened, hurts healed, and personal growth take place. Because she takes the time to be thoughtful in her strategies while exuding empathy and compassion in her work, Alyssa has been described as a counselor of excellence and is highly respected among her peers. Many clients have described her as being warm, creating a safe space for them to do healing work, and a gentle leader who helps clients access deeper levels of themselves. Alyssa is like an oak tree: strong, but not intrusive, patient and never wavering, knowledgeable and wise, a safe haven to find rest. She sits with complex people, ideas, and ways of being while remaining steady. Her clients feel seen, heard, and understood. She is a conduit of wisdom, helping her clients access their own by being steady in hers. In her work she drops acorns, potentials for her clients to grow into oak trees themselves.
Alyssa has had the great privilege of working with children, families and couples for 15+ years. She received the opportunity to gain advanced training in marriage and family therapy through the competitive program at Denver Family Institute and received a post-Masters certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. Alyssa has the ability while working with unique and complex families to create connection and balance with each member of the family, helping them feel seen and understood, while fostering healing and connection within their relationships. She is creative and flexible in her approach, recognizing that each person that sits with her is unique.
Alyssa profoundly understands trauma and attachment, and her steadiness and gentleness allows her to work with her clients lives as they begin to heal their traumas. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and has helped many people move from pain, anxiety, and depression to freedom, healing, and joy.
